Artista visual y muralista que dibuja desde que tiene memoria, graduada de Dibujo de la Universidad de Puerto Rico, Recinto de Río Piedras. El arte siempre ha sido su actividad favorita para pasar el tiempo, comunicarse y mostrarle al mundo algunas de las imágenes que le pasan por la cabeza diariamente, siendo este una parte importante de su ser. Es por esto que su arte es jocoso y jovial, lleno de colores y personajes, mayormente con mensajes de amor, familia, justicia social y aceptación a la diversidad. Su estilo de ilustración está grandemente influenciado por su gusto por los cómics y caricaturas de los 2000 con un poco de graffiti. Estas eran actividades que le daban mucha felicidad y al mismo tiempo la inspiraron para decir lo que quería decir. Utiliza pintura acrílica y aerosol para trabajos de murales o lienzo pero usa marcadores de alcohol y lápices de colores para sus ilustraciones más pequeñas, además de dibujar en medio digital usando el programa Procreate.
Para Karla María el arte educa, provoca, transforma, enaltece y ella apuesta al arte como su sustento y medio para conectar con la comunidad de Puerto Rico y el mundo.

Visual artist and muralist who has been drawing since she can remember, with a Bachelor's in Drawing from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. Art has always been her favorite activity to pass the time, communicate and show the world some of the images that pass through her head daily, this being an important part of her being alive. This is why her art is playful and cheerful, full of colors and characters, mostly with messages of love, family, social justice and diversity acceptance. Her illustration style is greatly influenced by her taste in comics and cartoons from the 2000s with a bit of graffiti. These were activities that brought her a lot of joy and at the same time inspired her to say what she wanted to say. She uses acrylic and spray paint for mural or canvas work and alcohol markers and colored pencils for her smaller illustrations, as well as drawing digitally using the Procreate program. For Karla María, art educates, provokes, transforms, exalts and she trusts that art will be her livelihood and means to connect with the community of Puerto Rico and the world.
